Routes to Becoming a Software Developer

It is normally for employees to require at least a degree or HND in a relevant course. without this applicants generally need substantial experience and proven ability in programming. A postgraduate IT conversion course is useful if the degree or HND/HNC does not have significant IT content.

There are a number of training courses that focuses on the wide variety of software packages used today to create applications. It would be good to obtain recognised qualifications in the use of languages such as Java and .NET.
