In the NHS, salaries range from £17,115 to £27,600 a year.

Most dramatherapists work in the NHS, but there are also opportunities with local authority social services departments, the prison service and charitable and voluntary organisations. Self-employment is possible.
The minimum age for entry to postgraduate training courses is 23. Applicants need a degree in a relevant subject. Most are drama graduates, but degrees in subjects like psychology, or other professional qualifications like teaching, nursing or social work, may be accepted. Adult entry is normal.
